Victoria currently is a Partner at SimmonsCooper Partners. A licensed tax practitioner and Notary Public in Nigeria, her journey with the firm is marked by excellence.

Victoria's versatility and in-depth knowledge in areas like Dispute Resolution, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Taxation, Public Sector Regulation, and Real Estate enable her to provide comprehensive and strategic counsel to clients. With over 33 years of practice, she leverages her vast experience to offer solutions and sound advice, navigating clients successfully through complex legal landscapes.

Background
Victoria obtained her Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Lagos and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. She also holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Lagos. She joined SimmonsCooper Partners in 2008 as the Head of Practice and was appointed Partner in 2015. Her expertise spans Alternative Dispute Resolution and Civil Litigation, with significant experience in both the public and private sectors.

• Successfully represented State Governments and the Federal Government of Nigeria in a significant trans-border litigation involving consumer protection, product liability tort, and negligence.

• Secured a substantial claim of over N600 billion in damages against local and foreign entities, showcasing strong legal skills and strategic acumen.

• Represented the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) in a significant N700 million unremitted tax recovery suit against an upstream oil and gas company.

• Led representations for a state government in landmark cases at the Supreme Court, addressing disputes related to local councils and federating units' responsibilities, contributing to constitutional jurisprudence.
