Background
Funmilola graduated with a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Ilorin, Kwara, and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2000. She obtained an LL.M in International Commercial Law from the University of Newcastle, UK. She joined SimmonsCooper Partners in 2008 and was appointed as the Deputy Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of the firm in November 2022. She leads the Growth team that encompasses Family & Wealth Management and SMEs & Aggregated Services practice areas.

• Provided strategic counsel to CAPIC and the Anambra State Government for the construction of an international multipurpose conference centre and shopping mall in Onitsha.
• Advised a local entity on a ₦5 billion capital investment restructuring with a Mauritius-based investor.
