Dayo is a Senior Associate at SimmonsCooper Partners and leads the Labor and Employment Team. His expertise spans several key legal areas, including Labour & Employment, Taxation, Arbitration, Construction, and Family and Wealth Management. Dayo's broad skillset enables him to offer comprehensive and tailored legal advice to clients across these diverse fields.
He has played a significant role in academia as the Lead Legal Researcher for the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Edinburgh. In 2023, he was integral to the "Building Peace and Expanding Access to Legal Representation in Nigeria’s Gangscape Project" (the "Peace-Law Project").

Background
Dayo graduated with a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Ilorin in 2014 and joined the Nigerian Bar in 2015. He has pursued further education, obtaining certifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Dispute Management & Negotiation Skills from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in 2018, and a certificate in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from the Africa Construction Law Training Academy & King’s College London in 2023.

• Successfully represented an international chemicals trading company based in the United Kingdom in connection with the recovery of the sum of over US$800, 000.00 (Eight Hundred Thousand US Dollars) from an indigenous company under a contract of sale/supply of goods.
• Successfully defended a multinational oil company in a suit filed by one of the state’s Internal Revenue Service in Nigeria, demanding tax already paid to the Federal Government of Nigeria, thus protecting the company from double taxation.
• Successfully defended the interests of a leading manufacturing and pharmaceutical company based in Nigeria in a suit filed by a former employee challenging the termination of his employment and claiming damages for unlawful termination of his employment, and non-payment of his terminal benefits.
• Successfully defended the interest of a leading media and advertisement company in both litigation and arbitration proceedings in connection with the claim of over N2, 000,000,000.00 (Two Billion Naira) from the divestment and sale/transfer of its (the company’s) assets and shares [under a Share Sale & Purchase Agreement and Asset Purchase Agreement] to another company involved in similar business in Nigeria.
• Advised a leading construction company in Nigerian in connection with a claim for an outstanding payment due under a circa US$49, 000, 000.00 (Forty-Nine Million US Dollars) construction contract.
