Dapo Akinosun, speaking at a legal symposium organised by CLASFON at the Lagos State University, emphasised that a Christian lawyer is an agent of change with a mandate from God to use the law to create fair societies by speaking out and condemning evil, making disciples, being at the forefront in the advocacy for change, maintaining ethical standards, and living the gospel. Christian Lawyers should lead by example by upholding ethical standards in the practice. Have a reputation for rule of law no matter the circumstances. Be firm with clients. Let them know when it is not legally and/or ethically possible, have high integrity standards. A Christian Lawyer must Speak Out – Condemn what is not right. A Christian Lawyer should live the gospel
